Laval, QC – The Laval development project is looking for two candidates to join its team of developers and product managers.
The project was launched in May, and currently employs about 15 people across the city of about 1.5 million people.
The job description includes “developing and managing software projects for small and medium sized enterprises.”
The position will require a bachelor’s degree and a bachelor of science degree in computer science, according to the project’s website.
The position is expected to pay $50,000 per year, according the website.
It’s unclear when the project will open up positions, but the website promises to “create a solid, long-term foundation for the project” and has already attracted some interested parties.
According to the website, the project is the brainchild of Laval developer and entrepreneur Rob Van der Meer.
It is expected that the project, which is supported by the Ontario Ministry of Finance, will open its doors in the fall of 2020.
It was launched by Van der Maers former partner, John Bickley.
Bickleys former company, Digital Business Solutions, is now part of Lava, and has a number of projects including a web-based tool that provides information to customers on insurance and tax issues.
The Laval project is also supported by a number local governments and is looking to hire a team of up to 15 people to work in the project.
It will also look for an engineer and a developer who can “help to accelerate the development of our products and services,” the Lava website says.
